The Kenwick Marathon is Lexington’s proudest neighborhood tradition — held every year on the morning of the Kentucky Derby! Now entering its 6th annual running in 2025, this beloved event began during the COVID-19 pandemic when Tom Butler ran 47 laps around the Bassett/Preston block to raise money for relief efforts.Neighbors rallied, bourbon flowed, legends were born.No entry fees. No race timing chips. Just you, your neighbors, and the casual certainty that running 47 laps is a perfectly normal way to spend Derby Day.📅 Race Day 2025
